Feb 4 Black History Month

Diahann Carroll portrayed Julia on the television show of the same name.  She was the first African American woman to star in a role that was not a maid. She was the first to portray a nurse in the starring role.  This doll was created by Mattel  in 1968.  Over time her hair as oxidize to this red color.  It was originally black.

 

Feb 3. Black History Month

Congratulations to Russell Wilson for leading the Seattle Seahawks to a victory over the Broncos. He is the 2nd Black Quarterback to win the Superbowl. Doug Williams for the Washington Redskins  was the 1st.

I want a boyfriend. Everyone has a boyfriend, except me.  I do not want to be like Lisa Turtle who did not have a boyfriend on the Save by the Bell.  I have a brother, Clawd and he is dating Draculura.  I have two sisters, Howleen and Clawdia.  They should have put all four  of us in one gift pack.

I was created by the Get Set Club.   We were fashion action dolls and we specialized in specific  activities to do.  Of course, I played basketball.  We were going to challenge the Barbie dolls ideal size.The company had created a brother for me, but Piersin was never made.  What a disappointment.  I see that Clawdeen from Monster High brother  was created.  Not fair.

I finally made it.  I am taller.  I can hang with the bigger girls now.  I have finally grown.
Now I can have a boyfriend because I am all grown  up.
